Winds Postpone Sailing

Compiled From Wire Services

Heavy seas and strong winds caused the cancellation of America’s Cup racing.

Seas of about 7 feet and wind gusts over 20 knots caused race organizers to call off the two scheduled matches.

Team New Zealand was scheduled to race oneAustralia on the Louis Vuitton Cup challenger course. On the Citizen Cup defender course Stars & Stripes was matched against Mighty Mary.

Both races have been postponed and will be sailed today, weather permitting.
