Federal Fugitive Arrested
A fugitive wanted on federal drug charges was arrested Friday evening in Murray, Shoshone County Task Force Coordinator Dave Wuolle said Monday.
U.S. marshals in Coeur d’Alene learned that Richard Breeding, 30, of Milton-Freewater, Ore., might be staying in the tiny mountain town. Assisted by the task force, they located Breeding at a Murray residence.
Also arrested were David Nelson, 26, of Milton-Freewater, and Breeding’s girlfriend, 27-year-old Karen Grams of Murray.
“Breeding noticed the officers surrounding the house. He and Nelson tried to go out the back, but it didn’t work,” Wuolle said.
The two men were caught behind the residence. Grams was arrested at her job, Wuolle said. After obtaining a search warrant, officers also seized four marijuana plants growing in the yard, and drug paraphernalia inside the home.
Breeding was being held Monday in Kootenai County Jail on a U.S. marshal’s warrant. Grams and Nelson will be extradited from Shoshone County to Oregon, where they are both wanted for felonies. Local charges are pending.
