Kidnapper Gets 35 Years

Compiled From Wire Services

A man who abducted a real estate agent at gunpoint was sentenced Monday to 35 years in prison after the victim pleaded with the judge for a long sentence.

Timothy Shue, 38, was convicted of kidnapping Paula Harrington last June and holding her for two days.

Shue abducted Harrington as she showed him houses in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Police said he bound Harrington’s hands and ankles and drove around in a stolen vehicle. He later took her to an automated teller machine and forced her to withdraw $300.

Shue left Harrington bound and gagged at a motel in Gila Bend, Ariz.
