Shots Fired During Traffic Dispute

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Spokane man told authorities that he was shot at Wednesday at Frederick and Havana following a confrontation on the road.

The man was driving west on Euclid just east of Market when a Ford Mustang cut him off at about 10 p.m. The man then followed the Mustang, flashed his high beams and honked his horn.

As he turned south from Frederick onto Havana, someone in the Mustang fired at least two shots at him, said sheriff’s Lt. David Wiyrick. Neither the man nor his vehicle was hit.

The Mustang’s driver, a white man in his early 20s, was wearing a backwards baseball cap with a star over the bill, deputies said.

The passenger, a black man in his early 20s, had short hair and was clean-shaven.

The vehicle was described as an early 1970s Ford Mustang II with a dark vinyl top and tan body. The first part of the license plate was “CJI,” Wiyrick said.
