Boise State Awaits Ok

Boise State University can begin to expand seating at Bronco Stadium with the approval of the state Board of Education.

The regents agreed to the expansion Friday at their Idaho Falls meeting.

Boise State wants to add as many as 14,000 seats at the stadium’s four corners. The first phase of the project would complete two of those corners, adding 7,000 seats and a Boise State hall of fame.

The state board gave permission to proceed with designs for the entire stadium but to build only the first phase.
