Bus Explosion Kills 17

An explosion blew apart a bus traveling in northwestern Vietnam and at least 17 people were killed, the bus company director said Tuesday.

The state-run Vietnam News reported that the bus was carrying explosives. The newspaper quoted a policeman as saying that someone smoking or a short circuit in the bus may have caused the explosion.
