Russian Satellite To Study Magnetic Field

Russia launched a satellite Thursday from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in northern Russia to study the earth’s magnetic field.

The launch brings to 1,850 the number of launches from Plesetsk since the cosmodrome opened.

The Interbol-1 satellite weighs 2,750 pounds and was built in Russia.
