Fred Kulm Lind, Wash.

Service for Fred J. Kulm, 72, will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Good Hope Lutheran Church, Lind. Burial will follow at Lind Cemetery. Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.

A lifelong resident of Adams County, he died Wednesday.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Betty Kulm; two daughters, Debbie Rausch of Spokane and Connie Meilke, Guelph, Ontario; two sons, Fred and Curtis Kulm, both of Lind; one sister, Lydia Greenwalt of Odessa, Wash.; one brother, Arthur Kulm of Lind; and eight grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Good Hope Lutheran Church.

James Stevens Kahlotus, Wash.

Service for James Davis Stevens, 86, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Washtucna, Wash. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Spokane. Danekas Funeral Home, Ritzville, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stevens, who was born in St. Catherine, Mo., died Thursday.

He had lived in Kahlotus for the past 37 years and managed Kahlotus Grain Growers.

He was a member of the Washtucna Masonic Lodge

His wife, Ethel, died in 1990.

Survivors include Donald Stevens of Bellevue, Wash., and Edward Stevens, Olympia; one daughter, Margaret Hancock of Roy, Wash.; one sister, Naomi Meyers, Spokane; one brother, John Stevens, Bonnie Lake, Wash.; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Lea Booth Spokane

No service will be held for Lea R. Booth, 76, at his request. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge arrangements.

A 50-year resident of Spokane, Mr. Booth died July 22.

He was born in York, Neb.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and worked as a logger. He then worked at Fairchild Air Force Base, retiring in 1981.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a sister, Hazel Hallowell of Seattle; and a stepson, Howard Miller, Superior, Mont.

Clementine Brewer Spokane

Vigil service for Clementine F. Brewer, 92, was Sunday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. today at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Burlington, Wyo., Mrs. Brewer died Wednesday.

She moved to Spokane in 1926 and volunteered as director for the Civil Defense skywatch during the 1950s.

She retired from the Department of Public Assistance.

Mrs. Brewer was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish and a former member of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Joseph’s parishes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Murl Brewer, in 1981.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Brewer and John Brewer, both of Spokane; 10 grandchildre,; 27 greatgrandchildren.
