David Kibbey Spokane
Graveside service for David Wayne Kibbey, 70, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Memorial Terrace. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Kibbey, who was born in Spokane, died Sunday.
He served three years in the Navy during World War II and worked as a letter carrier for the Postal Service for 34 years. He retired in 1980.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol Kibbey; one daughter, Linda Kibbey, and one son, Glenn Kibbey, both of Spokane.
Floyd McLean Colville, Wash.
Service for Floyd F. McLean, 58, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Danekas Funeral Home in Colville. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Colville.
Mr. McLean, who died Monday at home, was born in Benge, Wash.
He worked for Colmac Industry as a welder for 21 years.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna; three sons, Timothy McLean of Linden, Wash., Tracy McLean of Plummer, Idaho, and Tyler McLean of Colville; four daughters, Terri Davis of Colville, Tammy Day of Northport, Wash., Trisha Kalra of Flushing, N.Y., and Trixie Sterk of Linden; his stepmother, Mabel McLean of Colville; one sister, Audrey Hall of Hermiston, Ore.; two brothers, Irvin and Stanley McLean; and nine grandchildren.
Lesta Vaughan Cheney
Service for Lesta Mae Vaughan, 81, is set for 11 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Burial will be at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mrs. Vaughan, who died Monday, was born in Danville, Ala.
She moved to Spokane in the mid 1940s and worked at Sacred Heart Medical Center for almost 20 years. She retired in 1980.
She had been living in Cheney and was a member of Euclid Avenue Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Sandra Vaughan and Betty Dunphy, both of Spokane, and Lillian Vinson of Fresno, Calif.; two sons, Michael Vaughan of Wenatchee and Paul Vaughan of Newport News, Va.; two sisters, Fouree Norsthworthy of Marysville, Calif., and Berta Russell of Oceanside, Calif.; 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Scott Bauknecht Cheney
Private family service will be held for Scott G. Bauknecht, 24. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-Cheney is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bauknecht died Sunday in an auto accident.
Born in Spokane, Mr. Bauknecht, graduated from Cheney High School and was a Cheney resident.
He was a sales/lease consultant for West Valley Hyundai and had previously worked for Downtown Toyota.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Bauknecht; his parents, John and Darla Bauknecht of Cheney; one sister, Jennifer Bauknecht of Cheney; his grandparents, Lloyd Smith of Cheney, Mary Ann Girard of Federal Way, Wash., and John and Helen Bauknecht of Huntsville, Ala.; and his greatgrandfather, Ira McCarthy of Tacoma.
Mattie Kivett Chattaroy
Graveside service for Mattie Ellen Kivett, 73, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kivett, who died Tuesday, was born in Alliance, Alberta.
She moved to Spokane in the 1920s and graduated from North Central High School.
During World War II she worked for family services at Fairchild Air Force Base.
She was a member of the Ancient Order of United Workers, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Deer Park Eagles Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Steward Smith, and one daughter, Muree Degenhardt, both of Spokane; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Doryce Boyce Tacoma, Wash.
No service will be held for Doryce D. Boyce, 75, at her request.
Mrs. Boyce, a former 56-year Spokane resident, died Aug. 7 in Tacoma, where she had lived for the past 10 years.
She was born in Seattle and had previously lived in Portland for 10 years.
She operated Doryce’s Plant Shop in Spokane and was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Rayeski of Tacoma and Karyn Johnston of Portland; one son, Michael Boyce of Portland; one sister, Lois Lueckenotte of Tacoma; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Theodore Fisher Jr. Farmington, Wash.
Graveside service for Theodore “Ted” Fisher Jr., 65, is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at the Farmington Cemetery. Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Fisher died Monday in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lewiston.
He was born in Farmington, where he graduated from high school. He worked at Gordon T. Shaw Grain Elevator.
Mr. Fisher later worked for the Washington State University maintenance department before retiring in 1992.
He is survived by his mother, Anna Fisher of Colfax; and one sister, Norma Pettis of Burlington, Wash.
LuVerne MacLeod Spokane
No service will be held for LuVerne D. MacLeod, 74. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. MacLeod, who died Sunday, was born in Milltown, Wis.
He had lived in Spokane for 52 years and was an auto mechanic.
He served in the Army in both World War II and the Korean War.
Mr. MacLeod is survived by his wife, Betty MacLeod; three sons, Terry MacLeod of Texas, and Jack and Rodney MacLeod, both of Spokane; two daughters, Brenda Allen of Spokane and Kari Fusca of Tacoma; one sister, Lorena Hanson of Luck, Wis.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Vera Cargill McEvers Spokane
Service for Vera Cargill McEvers, 90, is planned for 1 p.m. today at Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston. Burial will be at Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. McEvers, who died Sunday, was born in Nez Perce, Idaho.
She graduated from North Central High School and had lived in Clarkston from 1935 until 1990, when she moved back to Spokane.
Mrs. McEvers was a homemaker.
She was a charter member of Alpha Phi sorority at the University of Idaho and Chapter DM of the PEO Sisterhood, a philanthropic and educational organization. She was a member of Daughters of the Nile, the Meistersingers, the National Hand Bell Ringers of America, the LewistonClarkston Organ Society, and First Christian Church, where she had served as choir director and had been a choir member.
Her first husband, Roy Cargill, died in 1960. Her second husband, Joseph McEvers, died in 1983.
She is survived by two sons, Richard Cargill of Yakima and Robert Cargill of Spokane; five grandchildren and 11 grandchildren.
Hazel Bolles Post Falls
Memorial service for Hazel J. Bolles, 70, will be held Sept. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Hayden City Park in Hayden, Idaho.
Mrs. Bolles, who was born in Lander, Wyo., died Thursday at Kootenai Medical Center after an extended illness.
She lived in the Seattle area until moving to Spokane in the 1960s. She moved to Post Falls in 1973.
Mrs. Bolles was a dual member of the Order of the Eastern Star, in the White Rose Chapter in Spokane and the Clover Chapter in Rathdrum, Idaho. She was also a member of the Hayden Lake Eagles Auxiliary and the Hayden Lake/Post Falls Eagles Drill Team. She was also active with the Shriners organization.
She was an avid gardener and enjoyed traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Bolles, in 1989.
Survivors include two brothers, Leroy Ricketts of Bellingham and Maurice Ricketts of Santa Cruz, Calif.; and one sister, Marjorie Reynick of Casper, Wyo.

Robert ‘Bud’ McDonell Spokane
Service for Robert A. “Bud” McDonell, 75, will be at 11 a.m. at Friday Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South with burial at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. McDonell, who was born in Oakland, Calif., died Monday of congestive heart failure.
He moved to Spokane from Sacramento, Calif., in 1951 with his family.
He served in the Navy during World War II and later worked as a painting foreman with Larsen Painting and Contracting for 25 years. He retired in 1976 due to heart problems. He was a member of Painters Union Local 269.
Survivors include his wife, Bernice McDonell; one son, Robert McDonell of Spokane; three daughters, Ann Barrett of Portland, and Carol Sumner and Elaine Johnson, both of Spokane; one sister, Opal Liddicoat of Georgetown, Calif.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Harold King Spokane
Service for Harold T. King, 87, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sunset Mausoleum Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. King, a longtime Spokane resident, died Monday.
Born in Canada, Mr. King worked as a landscaper for 25 years .
He is survived by two sisters, Isabel Smith and Eulalie Meisner, both of Spokane; one stepdaughter, Marianne Ford of Spokane; and his companion, Laura Sutherland.
Pauline Lemburg Nordman, Idaho
Private service was held for Pauline Mable Lemburg, 58.
Mrs. Lemburg, who died Sunday, was born in Shelton, Neb.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Nordman for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Randy; one son, Robert Lemburg of Otis Orchards; one daughter, Kristy Pettit of Post Falls; three brothers, Edward “Eddy” Mortensen of Otis Orchards, George Mortensen of Georgia and John Mortensen of Spokane; and six grandchildren.
