Woman Sentenced In Kidnapping
A Spokane woman received a five-month jail sentence Thursday for her role in a drug-related kidnapping and beating.
Ericka Clemons, 28, was supposed to stand trial last week on first-degree kidnapping and residential burglary charges.
But when the victim, Jerry Clark, 22, of Spokane, disappeared, prosecutors had to plea-bargain the case.
Clemons pleaded guilty to third-degree assault in Spokane County Superior Court. She admitted setting up Clark’s abduction and being present while he was beaten by drug dealer Timothy Taie.
Taie was sent to prison last month for seven years.
