Clare Clark Spokane

Graveside service for Clare E. Clark, 94, will be at 1 p.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Clark, a longtime Spokane resident, died Wednesday.

She was born in Charleston, Ark., and was a homemaker.

Her first husband, Vernon Ross, preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband, Oliver Clark; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane.

Todd Greenfield Coeur d’Alene

Graveside service for Todd B. Greenfield, an Idaho native, is set for 10 a.m. Monday at Forest Cemetery, Coeur d’Alene. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Greenfield, 42, died Thursday at home from heart disease.

He was born in Coeur d’Alene and graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1971.

He married Shirley Harper in 1983.

Mr. Greenfield worked as an automobile mechanic before becoming an installer for Crawford Door Sales.

He was a firearm safety instructor and a lifetime member of the National Riffle Association. He loved to hunt and fish.

Survivors include his wife and two sons, Shane and Clint, at home; and one sister, Greta Baltzell of Spokane.

Martin Golden Fernan Lake, Idaho

Memorial service for Martin F. Golden, 82, will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Church, Coeur d’Alene. Family and friends will gather at the Golden home following the service.

Mr. Golden, who died Aug. 13 at Kootenai Medical Center, was born in Rhode Island.

He married Pauline Sziegaud in 1942 in New York. They moved from Colorado to Coeur d’Alene in 1982.

He served five years in the Counter Intelligence Corps during World War II.

Mr. Golden was an executive with American Express Co. in New York and Denver and was an avid outdoorsman.

Survivors include his wife, at home; five sons, Brian, Paul and Martin Golden Jr., all of California, Robert Golden of Oregon and Peter of Colorado; one daughter, Virginia Kiely of Colorado; one sister, Alice Golden of Rhode Island; one sister-in-law, Margaret Bosch of New York; and five grandchildren.

Dale Martin Spokane

Service for Dale Lee Martin, 61, is set for 2 p.m. Monday at Riplinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mr. Martin, who was born in Chambers, Neb., died Wednesday at Holy Family Hospital.

He and his wife, Beverly Robbins, moved to Spokane in 1967 and he began working for Spokane Recycling, where he worked until earlier this year.

He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 2.

He is survived by his wife; three sons, David, Larry and Wayne Martin, all of Spokane; two daughters, Sherry Van Dusen and Kathy Jensen, both of Spokane; four sisters, Dorothy Mikus and Zelda Breitweser, both of Park Rapids, Minn., Edna Edwards of Nevis, Minn., and Carol Worster of Menahga, Minn.; and 11 grandchildren.

Marjorie Ruby Spokane

Graveside service for Marjorie M. Ruby, 77, is set for 2 p.m. today at Fairmount Memorial Park. Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ruby, who died Tuesday, was born in Mondovi, Wash.

She worked for Singer Sewing Machine Co., in sales for 15 years.

Her husband, Earl Ruby, died in 1994.

She is survived by one son, Charles Ruby of Spokane; two daughters, Franki-Jean Ruby of Spokane and Kathleen LaBarge of Forest Grove, Ore.; six grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.

Anne Parmley Mercer Island, Wash.

Memorial service for Anne K. Parmley, 98, is planned for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North.

Mrs. Parmley, a 47-year Spokane resident, died July 26 in Mercer Island, where she had lived for a short time with her daughter.

She was born in Montana and was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Second Church of Christ, Scientist.

Her husband, Walter Parmley, died in 1965.

She is survived by two daughters, Melva Potter of Spokane and Jean Topping of Mercer Island; one son, John Angus of Sierra Madre, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Doris Sims of White Rock, British Columbia; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mary Molchan Spokane

Private cremation for Mary Josephine Molchan, 85, was held.

Born in Zanesville, Ohio, Mrs. Molchan died Aug. 2.

She moved to Spokane with her husband, George Molchan, following World War II. She was a homemaker.

Her husband died in 1991.

She is survived by three daughters, Betty Jo Hoeksema of Hammond, Ind., Mary Ann Keller of Germany and Molly Walker of Edmonds, Wash.; one sister, Margaret Rooks of San Leandro, Calif; 11 grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

Rita LaVoie Spokane

Memorial service for Rita Diane LaVoie, 40, was held Friday at St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment of urn will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. LaVoie, who died Tuesday, was born in Spokane.

She had worked as a floor supervisor at J.C. Penney.

She is survived by one daughter, April Doughty, and one son, James Doughty, both at home; one brother, Roger LaVoie of Helena; and one sister, Lana Hess, and one stepbrother, Gary Brockway, both of Las Vegas, Nev.

Dorothy Eggleston Palouse, Wash.

Graveside memorial service for Dorothy Eggleston, 75, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery in Palouse. Kramer Funeral Home in Palouse is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Eggleston, who died Wednesday at Moscow (Idaho) Care Center, was born in Clarkston, Wash.

She and her husband, Jasper Eggleston, lived in Garfield, Wash., and she worked in the bakery at WilmerDavis Residence Hall at Washington State University. She retired in 1982.

She had also worked at the J.E. Love Co. in Garfield as a machinist.

She and her husband moved to Pullman in 1970. He died in 1985 and in 1990, after suffering a stroke, Mrs. Eggleston moved to Palouse to live with her daughter.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Yeatts of Petersburg, Alaska, Nancy Christian of Buckley, Wash., and Judy Finch of Palouse; one stepson, Nicholas Eggleston of Novato, Calif.; two brothers, Sandy Potter of Burlington, Wash., and Hubert Potter of Madison, Wis.; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Nicole Marlin Coeur d’Alene

Visitation for Nicole Laurel Marlin, 2, will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.

Nicole died Wednesday at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. She came close to drowning in February and had suffered from complications since then.

She was born in Coeur d’Alene in 1993 to Melinda Moulton and Curtis Marlin II.

Survivors include her mother, of Spokane, and her father, of Coeur d’Alene; three brothers, Dave Moulton of Spokane, and Austin Finley and Alex Marlin, both of Coeur d’Alene; her grandparents, Clare Marlin of Coeur d’Alene, and Mike and Donna Moulton, of Spokane; her greatgrandparents, Ruby Marlin of Fresno, Calif, and Sue Kent; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Edna Bowton Spokane

Service for Edna L. Bowton, 82, is planned for 10 a.m. today at Berean Bible Church with burial to follow at Spokane Memorial Gardens. Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bowton, who died Tuesday, was born in Harrison Flats, Idaho, where her parents settled.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Berean Bible Church.

Her husband, Daniel Bowton, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald Wellington of Benton City, Wash., and Larry Bowton of Walla Walla; one daughter, Bonnie Rancour of Seattle; two sisters, Opal Palm and Lela D’Andrea, both of Spokane; 10 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
