Idaho Mine Maintenance Fees Deadline Nears

The deadline for Idaho mine claimants holding sites on public lands is near.

Mining claim, mill site or tunnel site holders have until Aug. 31 to pay their $100 maintenance fees and file certificates of exemption. Miners with 10 or fewer claims nationwide may qualify for exemptions.

Payments must be accompanied by a written list of claim and site names and Bureau of Land Management serial numbers.
