Convicted Democrat Encouraged To Resign

The top House Democrat urged Rep. Mel Reynolds on Thursday to resign to avoid possible expulsion from Congress due to his convictions for sexual misconduct with a minor.

House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt made the recommendation in a letter to Reynolds, D-Ill., who is already the subject of a House ethics committee investigation.
