One Arrested After Fight Among Teens
Spokane County sheriff’s deputies and Washington State Patrol troopers broke up a fight Saturday morning involving dozens of teenagers.
Deputies were called to a house in the 32600 block of North ElkChattaroy Road shortly after midnight to investigate the fight, said sheriff’s Lt. Chan Bailey.
One man had been kicked out of a party involving teens aged 14 to 20, Bailey said.
When he returned with two cars full of friends, a fight broke out.
People used chairs, clubs, a lug wrench and a tire iron as weapons. One person was run over with a car.
Three people were treated at local hospitals, Bailey said. He did not release their names. None of the victims’ injuries were life threatening, although the man run over by the car possibly had a dislocated knee, he said.
Deputies arrested one person, Robert W. Thompson, 20. He was charged with fourth-degree assault and released.
The Washington State Patrol still is investigating the incident.
