Gritz Holds Seminar For ‘Liberty And Freedom’ Former Presidential Candidate Says His Campaign From Idaho Will Save America
Bo Gritz, former presidential candidate, and former U.S. Army Green Beret commander, says he has chosen Idaho as his headquarters from where he will direct his campaign to save America.
“Idaho is where liberty and freedom will fly across the nation and lift the Constitution,” Gritz said.
Over 150 people gathered for Gritz’s two-day seminar in Pocatello Friday and Saturday.
Gritz said first lady Hillary Clinton’s upcoming trip to China is a national disgrace.
Gritz said there is a national conspiracy to hide what happened at Ruby Ridge, where he acted as a mediator with Randy Weaver during his 1992 standoff with federal marshals.
He blasted Bill Clinton, George Bush, the U.S. military and the United Nations.
When he ran for president in 1992, Gritz had a small but loyal following. He won 10,281 votes in Idaho.
It’s not clear whether Gritz is gaining in popularity, but the supporters he does have came from coast to coast to hear him speak and attend his SPIKE (Specially Prepared Individuals for Key Events) training seminars.
Saturday, Gritz led a conference on “spycraft.”
For $110 he promised the 12-hour class would teach “how to employ, and defeat every means of truth detection, including Direct Interrogation, Polygraph, Kinesic Interviewing, Neuro-Linguistic Programming…” and other means.
Montanan Steve McNeil, who attended the seminar, looks like a picture of the American West in his white straw cowboy hat and snake skin boots.
The 46-year-old construction worker from Bozeman, Mont., pulled a crisp, new $100 bill from his wallet. He held it up to the light, pointing to a thin line running through one side. The federal government says the line is used to detect counterfeit bills.
“That’s a magnetic strip. The government can drive by your house and scan you. That way, they can see how much money you have,” said McNeil.
McNeil, who brought his family of four to the two-day seminar, has attended Gritz’s lectures around the country.
He believes the federal government has planted computer chips in 8 million citizens, and will continue until everyone is “coded.” He believes the Oklahoma bombing was a government plot. He believes there is an international conspiracy to support the Anti-Christ, Bill Clinton, the United Nations, and the Federal Reserve System.
To McNeil, Gritz has the real answers about what’s happening in America and around the world.
“When I first heard him, it was like a light went on,” McNeil said.
