Boston College, a preseason pick to finish near the bottom of the 13-team Big East, upset Louisville Thursday night in Newton, Mass., behind 30 points from Danya Abrams.
The Eagles (3-0) scored the game’s first nine points, led 37-24 at halftime and built their biggest lead, 56-32, with 11:55 left. After that, Louisville (2-2) came no closer than the final margin.
The Eagles never trailed as Duane Woodward had 15 points and Mickey Curley added 14.
Louisville, which dropped its second straight game, got 15 points from Alvin Sims and 14 from Samaki Walker, who had missed the first two games because of NCAA rules infractions.

At Columbia, Mo., Simeon Haley scored 13 points to lead four Missouri players in double figures as the Tigers beat Southern Methodist.
Both teams struggled in the first half, but Missouri (3-0) held the Mustangs to 29 percent shooting to lead 26-20 at halftime.
Southern Methodist (1-2) entered the game shooting 46 percent from the field.

At Fayetteville, Ark., Jesse Pate scored 14 points in Arkansas’ 31-2 run early in the second half and the Razorbacks broke a two-game losing streak with a victory over North Carolina A&T.
Arkansas (2-2) already had a 45-24 lead when it went on the run that sealed the rout.
Portland 61, Oregon St. 50
Guard Kweemada King’s 19 points led Portland to its 14th consecutive home basketball victory Thursday night, defeating Oregon State.
The Pilots (2-0) expanded a 34-19 halftime lead to 44-22 early in the second half behind King’s six points.
Guard Markee Brown led the Beavers with 10 points.
Oregon 106, W. Florida 66
At Eugene, Ore., Kenya Wilkins scored 23 points and four other players scored in double figures as Oregon demolished West Florida.
Montana St. 88, Alcorn St. 79
At Lorman, Miss., Nico Harrison, formerly of Spokane, scored 18 points to lead Montana State.
