Davis Love III and Beth Daniel combined for a 63 and moved into a share of the lead with the team of Jay Delsing and Val Skinner after three rounds of the $1.3 million JC Penny Mixed Team Classic at Tarpon Springs, Fla.
Love and Daniel were at 194, 19 under par for three rounds of competition over the par-71 Copperhead Course at the Innisbrook Resort.
Delsing and Skinner combined for a 65 on Saturday under the best-ball format for a share of the lead and a one-stroke advantage over four teams.
Tied for 11th place at 198 is Tracy Hanson of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Jonathan Kaye. Tied for 21st at 201 is former Pullman resident Kirk Triplett and Julie Larsen.
Zimbabwe’s Nick Price lost a three-stroke lead, allowing Corey Pavin to tie for the lead in the Million Dollar Golf Challenge at Sun City, South Africa. Price shot a par-72 for a 54-hole total of 210. Pavin fired a 69, also for 210.
Raymond Floyd and Raymond Floyd Jr. birdied 10 of the last 14 holes to take a two-stroke lead after the first round of the $650,000 Father-Son Challenge at Vero Beach, Fla., with a 10-under-par 62.
