Man With Long Record Wanted For Escaping Community Custody

A young, violent thief with a long record of convictions is this week’s Secret Witness target.

Ikeim C. Vaster, 19, has a record of 26 convictions and more than 70 arrests.

He has four convictions for assault, five for theft and several more for harassment, reckless endangerment and malicious mischief.

Vaster is now wanted for escape from community custody. Police say he is a known gang member and could be dangerous.

He is 5-foot-7, weighs 192 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Vaster’s whereabouts is asked to call Secret Witness at 327-5111. A cash reward is offered, and callers do not have to give their name to be eligible for the reward.

Secret Witness is a civilian organization not affiliated with law enforcement. Callers may use a code name or number for future contact about the reward.
