Fairchild Wing To Get New Boss
The 141st Air Refueling Wing at Fairchild Air Force Base is getting a new boss.
Col. Walter Hodgen will replace Brig. Gen. Donald Powell early next month as the wing commander of the Washington Air National Guard unit. Powell is retiring.
Hodgen, 52, joined the Air Force in 1966, served in Vietnam and joined the Air National Guard in 1972. He currently serves as logistics commander of the wing, overseeing maintenance, supply and transportation.
The 141st operates a squadron of KC-135 tankers at the West Plains base.
