At Amherts, Mass., Edgar Padilla scored 17 points and Marcus Camby got some rest Tuesday night as the Minutemen (6-0) used an early 17-0 run to beat the Seahawks (2-5), Minutemen coach John Calipari’s former school.

At Tallahassee, Fla., Ray Allen scored 22 points to lead the Huskies (7-1) to a win over the cold-shooting Seminoles (4-2). The Huskies were never threatened, scoring the first 11 points of the game on their way to a 40-25 halftime lead.

At Santa Clara, Marlon Garnett scored 17 points and Brendan Graves had 14 as the Broncos (6-1) weathered an off-shooting night by star guard Steve Nash to beat the Bulldogs (3-4).

Southern Utah 71, Boise State 64

At Boise, senior guard Daryl Christopher scored 22 points and junior center Brad Bodily added 16 to lead the Thunderbirds (3-3) to a win over the Broncos (2-4).

At Provo, Utah, freshman guard Todd Christensen scored a career high 20 points to lift the Cougars (5-2) past the Wildcats (3-4). Justyn Tebbs and Andy Smith led Weber State with 19 points each.
