Libraries Changing Hours

Hours at all three Valley library branches will change the first week of January.

The changes will mean moving away from Friday hours. That’s typically the lightest day for library use, said Mike Wirt, Spokane County Library director.

Monday gets heavier use and will see longer library hours under the new schedule.

Also, the changes tend to shift library hours earlier in the day.

The major changes include Argonne Library opening on Mondays instead of Fridays.

At the Valley Library, Thursday hours will expand and Friday hours will shrink.

Here are the new schedules:

Argonne Library:

Monday, Tuesday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Friday: Closed

Saturday: Noon-6 p.m.

Otis Orchards:

Monday: closed

Tuesday: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.

Wednesday: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Thursday, Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Friday: 1-6 p.m.

Valley Library:

Monday through Wednesday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.

Thursday, Saturday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Friday: 1-6 p.m.
