Aronow Named Court Commissioner
A 51-year-old Spokane attorney who has practiced law for 14 years is the newest Spokane County Superior Court commissioner.
W. Fred Aronow was picked from among eight finalists for the $84,163-a-year court commissioner position formerly held by Neal Rielly.
Rielly was elected to the Superior Court bench in November.
The county’s Superior Court judges selected Aronow this week for the job, said a spokesman.
Court commissioners handle various legal matters, including domestic cases, to assist Superior Court judges.
Aronow graduated from Gonzaga University in 1967 and got a master’s degree from Georgia State University in 1973. He graduated from Gonzaga Law School in 1981.
He worked as a deputy prosecutor in Yakima County and as a public defender in Lincoln County before entering private law practice.
