Fbi Imposters Kidnap Couple
Two men posing as FBI agents kidnapped a couple at gunpoint Saturday, stole their car and then released them handcuffed but unharmed.
The man and woman, who were not identified, were driving to a ski resort when they were stopped on westbound Interstate 70 by a car with a flashing blue light on its roof, said Sgt. Mark Douglas of the Clear Creek sheriff’s department.
“A man identified himself as an FBI agent and ordered (the driver) out of the car,” Douglas said. The suspect held a gun to the man’s head, handcuffed him and then put him in the back of the suspect’s car.
The suspects then split up, driving both cars with the man in one and the woman in the other. They were later released in separate areas.
