City Wins Award For Cops Program

The city of Spokane has won a national award for its community-oriented policing program.

The Innovation Award is the most prestigious honor given by the National League of Cities. Spokane was nominated by Councilwoman Bev Numbers.

The crystal plaque was presented to the City Council on Monday by Cheryl Steele, the Police Department’s community policing coordinator. , DataTimes
