Golfer Falls Dead After Hole-In-One
A golfer playing on the links he loved hit his 18th career hole-in-one, then collapsed on the next hole and died.
Peter Sedore, 83, was pronounced dead at a hospital. An aneurysm was the likely cause, doctors said.
Sedore fell ill Wednesday at Panorama Village Golf Course. He made the hole-in-one on the 129-yard fourth hole.
Family members said Sedore died happy, playing the game he loved and accomplishing something that eludes most golfers forever.
“There was no other way he would have wanted it,” said Dennis Sedore, adding that his father played that course nearly every day. “Maybe God wanted him to do it one more time before taking him.”
Golf partner Bill Rutledge signed the scorecard verifying the shot. He said he called Sedore over to initial it, and Sedore collapsed in his arms.
