Prince Leads Washing Of Islam Holy Shrine
Prince Majed, a leading member of the Saudi ruling family led the ritual washing Saturday of the Kaaba, Islam’s holiest shrine in Mecca.
The washing of Kaaba, a square stone structure built by the prophet Abraham and revered in Islam as the house of God, is performed twice a year with perfumed water. Muslims around the world turn to Kaaba to pray five times a day.
