Memorabilia promoter Michael Bertolini was sentenced to 14 months in prison in Federal District Court after pleading guilty to a tax fraud conspiracy stemming from a 1989 autograph show he helped produce in Atlantic City, N.J. Hall of Famers Duke Snider and Willie McCovey, who participated in the Atlantic City show, earlier pleaded guilty to tax fraud charges for not reporting income from the show and other similar events.

Regilio Tuur of the Netherlands retained his WBO junior lightweight title with a unanimous decision over Giorgio Campanella of Italy. It was Tuur’s fourth successful defense of his world title. … Former figure skating champion Tonya Harding, 25, and machinist Michael Smith boarded a yacht on the Willamette River in Portland for a private wedding ceremony. It was Harding’s second marriage and Smith’s fourth.
