‘I Want Everybody To Be Nice To Our Environment.’

Browne Elementary

We asked North Side schoolchildren to share their hopes for the new year. Here’s what the second-graders in Mary Keith’s class at Browne Elementary told us:

Ashton Hall: I want everybody to be nice to our environment. I will try to keep my room clean.

Josh Lucas: I want no wars and no trees cut down.

Ryan Tafoya: What I want for the new year is to clean my room and to be nice.

Zac Popp: I want to help friends on math, and I will play with my friends more often.

Irina Barko: I want a lot of money, and I would give some money to the poor.

Kyle Briscoe: I want to do more math, and in 1996 I want to get up earlier.

Alaina Ward: I want to help make the world better and stop people from polluting the air.

Sarah Gehrtz: In 1995 I want my grandma to stop smoking. In 1996 I want to wake up at 1 in the morning.

David Olson: I want people to be happy, and I want my brother to be happy.

Bryan English: I want for everyone to be nice to each other and people to be friends to each other.

Ben Corson: I want to lift more weights and be strong. I also want to teach my sister and mom and dad the new African dance.

Eddie Richardson: I want to clean my room. Levi Rusch: I want to help my brother at math and writing.

Jenny Kohr: I’m going to read more books better. Do more things faster. I will pick up garbage. I hope everybody will listen to each other, and I will be nice to others.

David McClellan: I want to be on time at school, and I want to get straight A’s.

Matt Robert: I want to clean my room more often, and I want to wake up early more often so I can take the bus.

Ryan Matern: I hope everyone is nice to each other, and I don’t want people to litter.

Jessica Gonwick: I want to clean my room. I want my grandpa to stop smoking. In 1996 I want to give money to other people.

Alissa Putz: I want to read more stories. I want to do more math, and I want to get up earlier.

Andy Pitkmans: I want peace on earth. In ‘96 I want no AIDS, and quit taking trees down.

Eric White: I want to clean my room more often. I want everybody to be nice to each other.

Ryan Brown: I would want more cops to come around the planet so there will be no more crime waves.

Kristin Stiltz: For the new year, I want my dad’s back to get better. I also want to get better at reading.

Brielle Fuller: I want to get up early on the weekdays and sleep in on the weekends, and I want to help my mom more.
