Associated Press

NBA

Bobby Phills scored 28 points and Terrell Brandon added 21 Wednesday night as the Cleveland Cavaliers took advantage of an ankle injury to Patrick Ewing to defeat the New York Knicks 86-76.

Ewing, the Knicks’ leader in scoring and rebounding, left the game with 6:33 remaining in the first quarter after he landed on Cleveland center Michael Cage. X-rays proved negative and Ewing will accompany the Knicks to Washington for their game against the Bullets.
