Canada Moves Into Medal Round

Reg Berg’s goal at 16:09 of the third period gave the United States a 4-3 comeback win over Switzerland in the preliminary round of the World Junior Hockey Championships.

Three-time defending champion Canada moved into first place in Pool A and guaranteed itself a berth in the Medal Round by edging Finland 3-1.

In other games, Russia overwhelmed Sweden 5-2 and the Czech Republic tied Slovakia 4-4.
