Defense Lifts G-Prep Past Trojans
Prep basketball
As Heidi Umthun could attest, defense ruled Friday’s championship game of the West Valley Eagle Classic.
Gonzaga Prep (6-1) held the high-scoring Umthun (24 ppg) to nine points and generated little offense itself in a 36-24 win over Post Falls (8-4).
Molly Bloom and Theresa Palmer led G-Prep with nine points apiece. The Trojans never hit double figures in any quarter.
