Horizon students came through big

At a time when it seems like many teenagers are in trouble, I would like to take a minute and tell about the outstanding fund-raising job done by the students of Horizon Junior High this holiday season.

Over $1,000 was raised for Toys for Tots, and over 800 items of warm clothing were donated for kids in need. This is a difficult time of year for many families in Spokane. Horizon kids reached deep into their pockets and hearts to help make things better in our community.

Kids, here and everywhere, can, and do, make positive differences every day. Michelle Grafos, vice president, ASB Horizon Junior High

Three Taco Bells, now

Regarding Ward Sanderson’s article in Saturday’s Valley Voice (page 5). He states that Taco Bell plans to open two new restaurants in the Valley by 1996.

There is already a Taco Bell in the Valley. It is located inside the Holiday station store at 2303 N. Argonne. I know, I work there. Aaron Worden Spokane
