Here is a look at action Tuesday in the Washington Legislature:
GOVERNOR:
The governor renewed his intention to seek re-election despite allegations that he sexually harassed his former deputy press secretary.
SENATE:
Bill introduced:
- SB5786, to ban advertising as major league baseball games played by teams with fewer than 75 percent of the players having been major-league players in 1994.
The Natural Resources Committee approved and sent to the full House HB1286, which would loosen rules covering logging.
The Trade and Economic Development Committee approved and sent to the Finance Committee HB1248, which would grant sales tax deferrals to builders of a thoroughbred race track west of the Cascade Mountains.
The Government Operations Committee approved and sent to the Appropriations Committee HB1107, which would eliminate 37 state boards and commissions.
