Woman Raped In Alley

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 37-year-old woman was raped in an east Spokane alley last week, police said Tuesday.

The woman told police she was walking in an alley to the 7-Eleven at Fifth and Thor about 6:30 p.m. Friday.

On the way, two men threw her to the ground in the alley between Fifth and Hartson.

One man raped her while the other watched, police said. Both then walked northbound on Ralph.

The victim went home, and her husband called police. She was taken to Deaconess Medical Center for treatment.

The rapist was described as a pale white man in his late 30s, with blond hair and blue eyes. The other man was described as black, in his 40s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 180 pounds, with a goatee or small beard.
