Scanivalve Begins Work On New Home
One year after announcing plans to move to Spokane, a San Diego manufacturer of scientific equipment this week begins construction on a new headquarters in the Valley.
Scanivalve Corp., which produces sophisticated sensors that measure air pressure in wind tunnels and other machines, expects to occupy the building this summer and employ 70 people.
The 27,500-square-foot headquarters will be built by Garco Construction on a 3.5-acre site, N1772 Madsen Court, in the MeadowWood Business Park near Liberty Lake.
Scanivalve, which has annual sales between $5 million and $10 million, announced in January 1994 that it would relocate to the Valley. At that time, officials said they would build a 40,000-square-foot building and employ 80 people, two less than were employed in San Diego.
