Five Hurt When Car Rolls Over

Five Tri-Cities residents were taken to a Spokane hospital after a driver lost control of a car Sunday in Adams County, authorities said.

The driver, Laurie A. Larson, 41, of Richland, was in critical condition Monday at Sacred Heart Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.

Passengers Jay L. Reihs, age unavailable, Melissa Reihs, 14, and Nick Reihs, 12, were in serious condition.

Another passenger, Rose Coronado, 15, was treated at Sacred Heart and released.

Larson and one of her passengers broke into a home to call 911 after the accident at 2:39 p.m. on Paha-Packard Road, about fives miles south of Interstate 90, the Washington State Patrol said.

Larson drove off the road as she entered a curve, overcorrected and lost control. The car rolled onto its side.

No one in the car wore a seat belt, the WSP said.
