Convenience Store Robbed

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man with a handgun robbed the Circle K convenience store at W4807 Nine Mile Road early Sunday.

The clerk told Spokane police he was waiting on two teenagers when another person came up behind him.

As the clerk turned around, he saw the man holding a gun. The clerk said the robber held the gun to his face and forced the clerk to open the register. The robber took some cash and left the store.

Police would not say how much money was taken. There was no indication the teenagers in the store were involved in the hold-up, police said.

The robber was described as white, about 5-foot-8, 170 pounds. He wore a heavy plaid shirt and may have been driving a white Honda Accord.

The clerk was not injured.
