Pope Plans To Visit Belgium In June

Pope John Paul II, whose trip to Belgium last year was canceled when he hurt his hip, plans a brief visit in June.

The pope would arrive June 3 and return to Rome the following day, the Roman Catholic Bishop Conference said Monday.

The beatification of Damien De Veuster, who worked and died among Hawaii’s lepers more than a century ago, will highlight John Paul’s visit.
