Woman Injured By Bb
A Spokane woman was wounded by a 12-year-old boy who fired a BB gun at her Sunday, police said.
The 44-year-old victim suffered a broken thumb from the BB. She was treated and released from a local hospital. Police didn’t say which hospital.
The shooting occurred about 1 p.m. near the 2000 block of East Langley by the Spokane River. The woman gave police descriptions of several juveniles involved in the assault and officers contacted four youths nearby.
After questioning them, police cited two 11-year-old boys, who will be referred to juvenile court for their part in the assault. A 12- and 13-year-old were booked into the Spokane Juvenile Detention Center for firstdegree assault.
One boy told police he got the rifle from his home. Police seized it.
