Man Jailed After Flunking Treatment

From Staff And Wire Reports

A man who molested his live-in girlfriend’s daughter on the girl’s 11th birthday was sent to jail Wednesday after he flunked out of a sex-offender treatment program.

Superior Court Judge Fred Stewart ordered Ronald L. Judd, 48, to serve the approximate 4 1/2-year remainder of his suspended 59-month jail term.

Stewart took testimony earlier this month and determined that Judd violated conditions of his sentence by drinking alcohol, using marijuana, visiting prostitutes and adult bookstores and making no progress in sex-offender treatment.

Judd pleaded guilty in January 1991 to first-degree child molestation. He admitted fondling his girlfriend’s daughter on several occasions, including her 11th birthday in September 1990 while the family was staying with friends in Springdale, Wash.

The girl came to the couple’s bed that night when she was ill, but was unable to wake her mother, who had been drinking with Judd.
