Lacking Fare, Boys Steal Another Car

Compiled From Wire Services

Two teenagers, accused of stealing 25 cars over a a two-year period, found themselves without bus fare after a court hearing. So they stole another car, police said.

The boys, ages 14 and 15, helped themselves to a car two blocks from the Broward County courthouse, then drove by Police Detective John Curcio.

“They know me in the neighborhood, and as soon as I went by them, they took off,” Curcio said.

The teens crashed the car into a fence, he said.

The boys were turned over to the Juvenile Detention Center pending another court hearing.
