Boy Stabbed During Gang Fight
A 16-year-old boy was stabbed three times Friday night during a gang fight at a north Spokane park, police said.
The youth was reported in stable condition at Holy Family Hospital, Spokane police Sgt. Joe Peterson said. Another boy was treated for scrapes and bruises.
Both teens were taken to Holy Family after the scuffle at Clark Park, near Division and Garland, at 7:55 p.m.
Peterson said at least 20 rival gang members came to NorthTown Mall for a prearranged fight Friday evening, then met at Clark Park, where the fight occurred.
Police didn’t find the weapon used in the stabbing, and no arrests had been made late Friday.
