Gordon All The Way

Compiled From Wire Services

Jeff Gordon made a runaway of the Goodwrench 500, starting on the pole and speeding to his third Winston Cup victory.

The 23-year-old driver added the win at North Carolina Motor Speedway to his victories last year in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte and the inaugural Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis.

This one was easier than the first two as his Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo led 329 of the 492 laps on the 1.017-mile oval, including the final 83.
