Mining Group Picks Executive Director

The Northwest Mining Association has named Tim S. Olson as its new executive director. He replaces Karl W. Mote, who retired after 19 years as executive director.

Olson, a Coeur d’Alene resident, was the regional director of business development for ITEX Environmental Services Inc. before taking the position.

Originally from the Silver Valley area, Olson has worked for the Bunker Hill Company, where he was director of labor relations in 1975. Olson has since worked with Coeur d’Alene Mines Corp. and Sunshine Mining Company.
