Fire Damages Wwp Substation

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of an electrical fire at the Washington Water Power substation downtown Wednesday.

Fire Chief Hal Williams said the blaze was extinguished with a dry powder. Damage was minor.

The fire caused no power outages, Water Power said.

Traffic was blocked temporarily on the Post Street Bridge when firefighters responded to the call.
