At a glance

Chiefs may catch Tri-City at the perfect time. League scoring leader Langkow (13 goals, 11 assists in his last 11 games) may sit this one out after he - or somebody - picked up a boarding infraction and a match penalty the other night. Tri-City contends that it was Doug Strobl, not Langkow, who did the dirty deed. If the league decides it was Langkow, he’s out tonight, which would give the Chiefs a better chance to end their six-game losing streak against the Ams. Chiefs are starting to come around as young players mature and veterans step up. Podollan, comfortable back on the wing after a stint at center, is finding ways to make a difference while his linemates, Leeb and Whitfield, continue to progress. Teams carry on their rivalry dominated so far by Tri-City Saturday night here.
