More Rest For Grgurich
UNLV basketball coach Tim Grgurich was released from a hospital after spending a week being examined and treated for symptoms of exhaustion. Doctors found nothing significantly wrong in the tests, but recommended that Grgurich continue to rest.
The NCAA has informed Baylor University that it is looking into allegations of misconduct in the men’s basketball program.
Baylor’s response to the inquiry is due by March 3, Baylor president Herbert H. Reynolds said Friday.
“Baylor has received an official inquiry letter from the NCAA related to alleged infractions within the men’s basketball program during the 1992-93 and 1993-94 academic years,” Reynolds said.
He said each allegation involved matters reported to the NCAA by Baylor last Nov. 30.
Miles Simon, a guard for No. 13 Arizona, had surgery on his right index finger and will miss at least four weeks, the team said.
