Mario Bennett scored 20 points, including six dunks, and No. 12 Arizona State had 16 steals in a 73-68 win Saturday over No. 20 California at Berkeley, Calif.

Bennett also had three steals and five blocks. He has 34 blocks in his last seven games and leads the Pac10 with 50 blocks this season.

Isaac Burton added 13 points and four steals for the Sun Devils (2-1, 12-3 overall), who hit 62 percent of their shots. Arizona State has won all four of its games against ranked teams this season.

The Sun Devils’ full-court press led to 24 turnovers by the Bears (1-3, 8-4) and several fastbreak baskets.

Lorenzo Orr scored 16 of his 22 points in the first half as the Trojans (2-2, 7-7) rolled to their second straight conference victory by beating the Huskies (0-4, 4-8) in Los Angeles.

Orr’s first-half production led the Trojans to a 33-22 halftime lead. After Washington cut USC’s lead to 37-32 early in the second half, the Trojans put the game away with a 24-3 run, giving them a 61-35 advantage with 9:05 to play.

Damon Stoudamire had a career-high 45 points, including eight in overtime, as the Wildcats (2-1, 12-3) rallied from an 11-point second-half deficit to defeat the Cardinal at Stanford (2-2, 11-2).

Stoudamire, who had 23 points in the first half, hit six 3-pointers as Arizona won its 14th straight against the Cardinal.

Orlando Williams scored 25 points to help the Ducks (3-0, 11-1) stay atop the Pacific-10 with a win over the Beavers (1-2, 4-8) at Corvallis, Ore.

Oregon is undefeated in conference play after three games for the first time since 1977. The Ducks got there by winning in Corvallis for the first time since 1986.

Oregon State was led by forward Brent Barry with 31 points.
