Teenager Killed In Drive-By Shooting

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 16-year-old Marysville boy was killed in a drive-by shooting while he was walking with two friends, police said Sunday.

The boy, identified as Charles O. Blatchford, died of a gunshot wound to his abdomen Saturday, according to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Blatchford was shot from one of two cars traveling together after he got into an argument with the cars’ occupants, according to police spokesman Jerell Willis.

After he was shot, Blatchford ran 50 feet and collapsed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
