Center Requests Type A Blood

From Staff And Wire Reports

The Inland Northwest Blood Center is facing a shortage of type A blood and is asking for donations.

The center’s goal is to keep about 200 units of A-positive blood and 45 units of A-negative blood in stock.

The center’s inventory of A-positive blood, which is a common blood type, has steadily decreased and at times fallen to 60 units since Christmas.

You can call 624-0151 for an appointment or stop by S507 Washington. Blood center hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
